So I was a VRML nut back in the day ( 1990s).
It went away like the IBM Cryptolope and a host of other dot-com boom vapourware.
But this 2005 article notes X3D the next incarnation of VRML.
Well, it's 2009 today. We have Second Life from Linden Labs and it's fortunes has ups and downs too. And we have XML in use for virtual 3D over the internet.
Let's see where this goes.
